White Page Gallery

White Page Gallery/s is a decentralized and distributed art network born in June 2019: it is an online network for artistic sharing composed of artists, curators, academies, festivals and cultural operators who host independently on their website and without the aim of profit art projects made and curated by others. […] White Page Gallery/s focus on the social value of artistic curation as its presupposition: the WPG/s network, is based on values such as solidarity, hospitality, inclusion, altruism and mutual support… continue reading here. What I am looking for: please, feel free to take one of my works from my site and: modify it, glitch it, turn it upside down, copy it, disassemble it, distort it, decontextualize it, make it your own or anyone’s. Or to propose your projects. Send me your works or a link to.

Format: photo, audio, video, text about “border/other/elsewhere art”; experiments and reflections on digital and non-digital property, post-human bodies, human-machine interactions, virtual identities and glitches; remakes, mash-up, cross-over arts.

Contributions:

Joseph James Nechvatal, American post-conceptual digital artist and art theoretician, creator of computer-assisted paintings and computer animations, often using custom-created computer viruses. His work in the early 1980s chiefly consisted of postminimalist gray graphite drawings that were often photomechanically enlarged. In 2002 he extended his experimentation into viral artificial life. From 1999 to 2013, Nechvatal taught art theories of immersive virtual reality and the viractual at the School of Visual Arts in New York City (SVA). Since 2013, Nechvatal has regularly been publishing his art criticism as the Paris correspondent for Hyperallergic blogazine. Joseph J. Nechvatal website.

Viral symphOny is a collaborative electronic noise music symphony. It was created between the years 2006 and 2008 using custom artificial life C++ software based on the viral phenomenon model. It is 1 hour and 40 minutes in length. The first movement of viral symphOny – and raw viral field material – was released in 2006 as a CD by The Institute for Electronic Arts in Alfred, New York. A low resolution extract from the pOstmOrtemsection of viral symphOny was published in NME (The New Musical Express) magazine.
